RACE FOR LIFE

On Sunday 10th May, 2009, I shall be taking part in the Race for Life in Inverness.   The event is a 5K run for ladies only, in aid of Cancer Research.  I shall record my training and weight loss progress on this site.

 My lunchtime walks are in Cromarty via the American Road, approx 3 or 4 miles in distance.  The 100 Steps walk is from Cromarty up to the South Sutor, perhaps 3 miles, but rougher terrain and steeper.

Reed's Park Loop is a circular footpath round a field in Cromarty - it's length, according to the signpost, is 3/4 of a mile... therefore 4 times round the route is approximately equivalent to the 5K race for life.  I've gone round the loop 4 times at a brisk walk pace and that took 50 mins, my plan being to start jogging part of the distance and use time as my measurement to see how I'm improving.
